The event was attended by dignitaries including former Deputy Home Minister Ajay Kumar Mishra and Goa’s Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Dessai, who praised the initiative for recognising healthcare professionals. One of the most memorable moments came when 102-year-old freedom fighter and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Libia Lobo received an award and walked the ramp alongside doctors and models in Adhya Fashion’s designs, receiving a standing ovation. Bollywood playback singer Hema Sardesai was felicitated for her social work and performed some of her hits. Over two days, panel discussions featured experts like Dr. Rajneesh Kant who demonstrated chiropractic techniques, while Mickey Mehta, Dr. Santosh Pandey and Ali Irani shared exercise and wellness guidance.
General physician Dr. Rajnikant Mishra added humour to the sessions. Awards were presented to doctors, nurses, ward boys and ambulance drivers, recognising their contributions as the backbone of the healthcare system. BIG FM Goa’s RJ Akash and RJ Namrata highlighted awardees and dignitaries through live interviews, while Nitu Joshi of Miam Charitable Trust was honoured with the Best NGO and Social Work Award.
Actress Ekta Jain anchored the two-day programme, which concluded with appreciation for the organising committee led by Dr. Rahul Bajpai, Dr. Biswajit Mondal, Hemanshu Mehta and Dr. Santosh Pandey.
The event highlighted that healthcare is not only about service but also resilience, community and recognition, bridging the gap between professional dedication and public appreciation.
