In a remarkable example of experiential learning, Class 10 students of Lokmanya Tilak Vidyalaya, Kavale, visited the Goa Vidhan Sabha where they witnessed a live Assembly session, offering them a rare and valuable glimpse into the democratic process of the state.
The educational visit was guided by dedicated faculty members—Girish Sir, Smita Teacher, and Vaibhavi Teacher—who ensured that students understood the context and significance of the legislative proceedings. The visit was further enriched by the presence of Honorable Power Minister Mr. Ramkrishna Dhavalikar, who accompanied the students, making the experience more impactful and memorable.
During the session, students observed the structured conduct of the House, debates, and discussions around state policies and bills. This opportunity helped them understand how laws are framed, the roles of elected representatives, and the importance of civic participation.
Such visits are an essential part of nurturing informed, aware, and responsible citizens. By engaging directly with governance and legislative environments, students develop an appreciation for the democratic machinery that governs their lives.
The school and its educators continue to champion real-world learning opportunities that go beyond textbooks—encouraging curiosity, civic responsibility, and active learning.
