10 July 2025 | Dharamshala – On the momentous occasion of his 90th birthday, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama has issued a warm message of gratitude and reflection, thanking his global family of well-wishers for their heartfelt greetings and support over the decades.
In a message shared across official platforms, the revered spiritual leader acknowledged the significance of this milestone, not as a personal achievement, but as an opportunity to continue his lifelong mission of spreading compassion, kindness, and inner peace in a troubled world.
“The 90th birthday is conventionally considered an important milestone in one’s life,” wrote the Dalai Lama. “I have dedicated myself to spreading the message of compassion and kindness, which I believe is the basis for peace and happiness in this world, and will continue doing so.”
His Holiness humbly expressed that he has tried to live a life of benefit to others and dedicates the rest of his time in service to humanity.
He also made a heartfelt appeal to all his friends, brothers, and sisters across the globe:
“As I often tell my friends and well-wishers, I would request you to join me in this effort — to be warm-hearted and to lead a meaningful life in the service of others; that will be the best birthday gift to me.”
