Goa, July 5, 2025: St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim, in collaboration with DELNET (Developing Library Network), New Delhi, successfully conducted a national-level webinar on “DELNET: Resources and Services.” The online event saw participation from over 330 attendees, including students, faculty members, and library professionals from various institutions across India.
The webinar began with a warm welcome by Manali Acharaya, Librarian at St. Joseph Vaz College, who acknowledged the importance of digital libraries in transforming access to knowledge. She expressed appreciation to DELNET for its role in enabling resource sharing and enhancing academic infrastructure.
Ranjana, Senior Network Assistant at DELNET, led the session with an in-depth presentation covering the full range of DELNET’s offerings — from e-books and research journals to union catalogues and inter-library loan systems. Her walkthrough of the DELNET platform provided practical tips on navigating its features and making efficient use of its academic resources.
The core objective of the session was to increase awareness about the value of digital knowledge networks and promote effective utilization of academic tools available through DELNET. The participants, drawn from diverse regions and academic backgrounds, responded enthusiastically and engaged actively throughout the session.
A key highlight of the webinar was the interactive Q&A segment, where participants had the opportunity to clarify their queries and share experiences. The exchange not only deepened understanding but also emphasized the growing demand for digital literacy in academia.
