Panaji, June 27, 2025 — Delta Ports Mormugao Terminal Pvt Ltd has once again raised the bar for port operations, setting a new milestone in cargo handling efficiency during one of the most challenging times of the year — the monsoon season.
Demonstrating a blend of precision, coordination, and resilience, the terminal successfully completed the discharge of 60,500 metric tonnes of Iron Ore Fines from the vessel MV Jal Kalpavriksha at Berth No. 10. The entire operation was completed in just 49 hours, a testament to the team’s operational excellence and commitment to performance under pressure.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the performance logged in the final stretch of the operation: an impressive 29,284 metric tonnes were handled within a single 24-hour window, setting a seasonal record for the terminal.
The cargo was consigned to M/s Mandovi Pellets, Goa, one of the terminal’s key clients, further underlining Delta Ports’ critical role in supporting the region’s industrial and export infrastructure.
“This is yet another feather in our cap,” said a Delta Ports spokesperson. “It demonstrates our preparedness and capability to perform efficiently, even in challenging weather, while upholding the highest standards of safety and service.”
