Focus on Industry Development and Expo Plans
The newly elected team briefed the Chief Minister on several upcoming initiatives, including industry training programs, culinary innovation showcases, and a major Catering Expo proposed to be held later this year. These efforts aim to highlight Goa’s rich food culture, support local entrepreneurs, and position the state as a premier destination for hospitality and events.
“The Catering Expo will be a platform to connect local talent with national and international buyers, event planners, and hospitality experts,” added Mohammed Shaikh.
The association also discussed the challenges faced by small and medium-sized catering businesses, and emphasized the need for greater recognition, skill development, and government-backed support for local service providers.
