Empowering Students Against Tobacco: PM SHRI GHS Morpirla Observes World No Tobacco Day


In a bid to educate students about the harmful effects of tobacco and promote a tobacco-free lifestyle, PM SHRI Government High School (GHS) Morpirla, in collaboration with Village Panchayat Morpirla, observed World No Tobacco Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event was a resounding success in raising awareness and empowering students with knowledge to make informed choices about their health.

The day’s activities kicked off with a rally, where students took to the streets, spreading awareness about the dangers of tobacco consumption. With banners and placards in hand, they marched through the village, spreading a powerful message about the importance of a tobacco-free lifestyle. A health official from Primary Health Centre (PHC) Balli delivered a talk, educating students about the risks associated with tobacco use and the benefits of quitting. Smt. Ashwini Gaonkar, Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Morpirla, urged the students to stay away from tobacco, emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Her words of wisdom served as a reminder to the students about the significance of making informed choices about their health.
