The Department of Commerce at Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim, recently hosted its annual national-level inter-collegiate event, ‘Insignia 9.0′. This year’s edition saw a total participation of six colleges, making it a vibrant and competitive celebration of undergraduate commerce students’ creative skills and talents.
Inaugural Ceremony
The event kicked off with an inaugural ceremony, where Principal Helic Barretto shared the significance of Insignia. Bhende then delivered a brief overview of the event, setting the stage for the exciting competitions to follow. The chief guest for the inaugural ceremony was Harsha Naidu, an accomplished event manager and alumna of Rosary College. In her inspiring address, Harsha advised students to take every opportunity seriously, emphasize continuous learning, and maintain a curious mindset.
13 Action-Packed Sub-Events
The event featured a total of 13 sub-events, carefully designed to test students’ skills in various areas of commerce. From business plan presentations to debates, quizzes, and more, participants showcased their talents, creativity, and knowledge.
Valedictory Ceremony
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Adv. Chuvo Barbosa as the chief guest. The ceremony marked the culmination of Insignia 9.0, with the announcement of winners and the distribution of prizes.
And the Winners Are…
Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao, emerged as the overall winners of Insignia 9.0. St. Xavier’s College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Mapusa, and Fr. Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pilar, secured the first and second runners-up positions, respectively.

Insignia 9.0 was a resounding success, thanks to the tireless efforts of the organizers, participants, and guests. The event served as a platform for undergraduate commerce students to showcase their skills, learn from each other, and network with peers and professionals.
