In a significant achievement, Dr. Vikash Yadav, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at the School of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, Goa University, has been awarded the prestigious Prime Minister’s Early Career Research Grant. This esteemed grant, amounting to ₹71.3 lakhs, has been conferred upon Dr. Yadav by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India.
Dr. Yadav’s awarded project focuses on parental-specific genome organization in the regulation of genomic imprinting, a critical area in plant molecular biology. This research has the potential to provide new insights into hybridization barriers and seed development, crucial for improving agricultural yield and food security.
