In a proud moment for the state, Goa will present a vibrant float at the 76th Republic Day parade in New Delhi on January 26, 2025. The float, designed and fabricated by a team of 30 talented Goans, will showcase the state’s rich cultural heritage and progress.

Theme: “Swarnim Bharat, Virasat aur Vikas”

The float’s theme, “Swarnim Bharat, Virasat aur Vikas,” translates to “Golden India, Heritage and Development.” It beautifully captures the essence of Goa’s journey, highlighting its rich cultural legacy and impressive development.

The float is the brainchild of a team led by renowned Goan artist Shri Sushant Khedekar. The team comprises artisans, fabricators, carpenters, and other skilled professionals who have worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. The performing artists team is led by Shri Dinesh Priolkar, with choreography by Mr. Nishad, costumes by Mrs. Sangeeta and Miss Avani Khedekar, and music composed by Dr. Saish Deshpande.

The float has undergone rigorous rehearsals, with dress rehearsals held on January 17, 18, 20, and 21. A full dress rehearsal will take place on January 23, 2025. After the parade, the float will be displayed at Red Fort as part of the Bharat Parv celebration from January 26 to 31, 2025.
