New Delhi, [Date]: President Droupadi Murmu conferred the prestigious Dronacharya Award (Lifetime) 2024 on renowned Football Coach Armando Agnelo Colaco at the National Sports Awards ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The Dronacharya Award, instituted in 1985, is India’s highest sporting honor for coaches, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the development of sports in the country.
Armando Colaco, a veteran football coach from Goa, has had a distinguished career spanning over three decades. He has coached several top-tier football clubs in India, including East Bengal, Dempo, and Pune FC, and has won numerous national and international titles.
Colaco’s dedication, expertise, and passion for the sport have inspired generations of footballers, and his contributions to Indian football have been instrumental in shaping the country’s football landscape.
